In Phases

Driving by Circle Oil Hill Elementary, you may notice things are changing, but not all at once. The construction and remodel will take place in phases, allowing for learning as usual with the least disruption possible.
Phase 1: Addition of classrooms to South and East wings.

Phase 2: Interior remodel and additions.

Phase 3: Final interior remodel.

Before School Starts

As teachers and students prepare for the first day of school, Simpson Construction crews are hard at work making sure everything and everyone will be safe this year. Phase One of construction is well underway, despite the rain and mud:

Fencing and Signage is up. Concrete reinforcing is being tied together for footing installation.

The portable has been moved to allow room for South Wing construction.

Lots of rain South of the building where six classrooms will be added.

Two classrooms will be added on the East.

Learning by Example

On Tuesday of last week, the District’s team travelled to explore the educational curriculum at the Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) in Kansas City and Joplin High School in Joplin, Missouri. Executive Vice President Gregg Oblinger represented Simpson on the excursion. “I was impressed with the team’s ability to think outside the box,” said Mr. Oblinger. “They are focused on delivering education for the 21st century.”
